Dr. Katie grew up in Calgary playing high level sports from a young age. Although she played most sports, soccer became her favourite and main sport early on. This eventually lead her to being a starter and top goal scorer for the University of Calgary (UofC) Dino’s Soccer team while completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree. Following UofC, Dr. Katie earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic West (PCCW) campus in San Jose.
Dr. Katie is highly experienced in sports injuries through her personal experience as an athlete along with the knowledge she has gained through her education and professional experience. With this, Dr. Katie understands how difficult and frustrating being injured can be for athletes, and it is her goal to get them back to their optimal level as quickly and safely as possible. Her passion is empowering those around her to achieve their sports, fitness and health goals! She also strives to educate, and give each patient the tools to prevent future injuries.
When she’s not out treating patients, Dr. Katie enjoys playing soccer, basically any sport, being outdoors, rocking some yoga, teaching HIIT classes at MovementU and spending time with her family! Sitting is a rare thing for this Doctor. Her favourite book is The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari.
